Stopping by to wish you and yours Happy Holidays!!
While I was cleaning rm 20 at work today, a HUGE (well, not super huge but pretty damn big) spider came out of the 2 inch gap at the bottom of the wall. It scared the carp out of me and I made the biggest jackass out of myself because I screamed. One of the LNA's came running down the hallway to see if I was ok. I
I have always been deathly affraid of insects ever since I was a child. Whenever I saw an insect indoors or outdoors I would always scream even if it wasnt touching me. Its funny that I never outgrew that stage, I cant beleive I am still terrified of bugs.
I am very curious about something, I wonder how many other people are terrified of bugs or have any other phobia's for that matter. Anyone feel up to sharing any with me? I am very intrested in hearing from others on this!
I leave you with this:

An abnormal and persistent fear of spiders. Sufferers from arachnophobia experience undue anxiety even though they realize the risk of encountering a spider and being harmed by it is small or nonexistent. They may avoid going barefoot and may be especially alert when taking showers or getting into and out of bed. This phobia was exploited in a 1990 movie called Arachnophobia.
"Arachnophobia" is derived from the Greek "arachne" (spider) and "phobos" (fear). The Greek word was derived from the name "Arachne," a maiden in Greek mythology whom the goddess Athena turned into a spider after the girl, a skilled weaver, challenged Athena to a weaving contest.
"Arachno-" is also part of the term "arachnodactyly" which refers to long spider-like fingers and toes, a frequent finding in Marfan syndrome, a heritable disorder of connective tissue.
